Margie Gillis is honored to have been acknowledged by the Dance Collection Danse Hall of Fame committee in recognition of her achievements and life’s work. The induction ceremony, that was to be hosted by singer and songwriter Micah Barnes on March 29 at the Globe and Mail Centre in Toronto will unfortunately be postponed due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

Since its creation in 2018, the DCD Hall of Fame has been a tribute to Canada’s exceptional dance artists and talents. This year, alongside Margie, a large range of creators were recognized for their remarkable contribution to the dance field: James Kudelka, O.C.; Rosario Ancer; Ethel Bruneau; Michael Greyeyes; Peter Boneham, C.M.; Mavis Staines, C.M; Donald Ross, O.C. and Gretchen Ross.

We whole heartedly hope that these difficult times will soon be overcome. Be safe, stay home and healthy!
