Support the Margie Gillis Dance Foundation !
Since 1981, the Margie Gillis Dance Foundation has been dedicated to creating works that inspire, explore, and delve deeply into the essence of humanity. Your support plays a vital role in enabling us to offer accessible dance performances, establish residencies that nurture artists, and continue producing profoundly meaningful art.
Join us in celebrating creative momentum, inspiring collaborations, and Margie’s vision, which for over 40 years has invited each of us to reconnect with ourselves, nature, and our shared humanity. Today, we need your help to carry this mission forward.
Your donations will help fund two of the foundation’s projects: a new creation scheduled for Fall 2025 and our artistic residency program in Acton Vale.

In the fall of 2025, we will have the pleasure of presenting The Soul of the Poet, an ambitious work bringing together nine performers from diverse backgrounds. A tribute to the poetry of Gilles Vigneault in all its complexity and beauty. Your support will help fund various aspects of the creation, such as rehearsals, costumes, and set design.

The 2024 summer edition of our artist residency program in Acton Vale marked a new milestone —a resounding success that revitalized the Montérégie region with no less than seven residencies. These residencies provide artists with the opportunity to work in the peaceful and inspiring environment of St. Mark’s Church while fostering creative exchanges with the local community. Thanks to your support, we will continue this program throughout 2025 and enhance the resources available to offer artists a truly unique creative space.
The Margie Gillis Dance Foundation is a non-profit organization and a registered charity. Tax receipts are issued to donors upon request for any donation of $20 or more.
With heartfelt gratitude, we thank all of our 2025 donors and partners.
Your generosity and belief in our work are what make everything possible. Whether through a one-time gift or ongoing support, each of you plays a vital role in helping us grow, create, and share our artistic vision.
