The Whole Bloomin’ Thing, by Margie Gillis, will be remounted by Winnipeg’s Contemporary Dancers, with performances in
Winnipeg, Manitoba, from November 19 to 22, 2026,
& Regina, Saskatchewan, on November 24 and 25.
Inspired by Gillis’s solo Bloom and James Joyce’s novel Ulysses, this ensemble work immerses audiences in the inner world of Molly Bloom, a free and untameable character. Through her thoughts, desires, and reflections on human relationships and gender roles, the piece explores a feminine consciousness deeply connected to nature and driven by a powerful “yes” to life.
